The Canadian Citizenship

What you need to do before becoming a Canadian citizen?

Having citizenship Canada comes with a slew of privileges. Citizenship gives you access to limited occupations, the opportunity to vote and run for political office, and the ability to travel with a Canadian passport, all of which are not available to permanent residents. Citizens of Canada also benefit from the security of a status that is difficult to lose.

The Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is the government department that handles immigration to Canada. In order to become a Canadian citizen, you must first be a permanent resident of Canada.

To apply for citizenship, you need to pass the citizenship test. The test covers questions about Canada’s history, geography, values, and symbols. You also need to pass language tests in either English or French and show that you have been living in Canada for at least three of the past four years.

Apply to become a Canadian citizen now, prepare for the citizenship test and find out how you can resume or give up your citizenship!
